MONT ALTO HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Borough Office
Mont Alto Historical Society was founded in October 2006. It started with five members. At the present time it has approximately 25 to 30 members and friends of the Society. The meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Mont Alto Borough Office, 3 N Main Street. Membership fees are listed below.
Some meetings include guest speakers on matters of historical interest in the area. When we don't have guest speaker, the meeting begins with a brief business session, followed by an open session of sharing of historical artifacts and stories. Current members receive meeting reminder post cards in the mail. Meetings are also announced in the local newspapers and on the bulletin board outside the Borough Hall.
Some of the yearly events held are the Homecoming Picnic in June, in December a Tree Lighting Celebration, along with Christmas Eve services at Emmanual Chapel.
